Three current 35-ton models, two very different stories
The two Oregon 35-ton records publish the same 12.7-second cycle and 17 GPM two-stage pump but use different engines: Briggs & Stratton XR1450 on OR35TBS-1 and Honda GX270 on OR35THO-1. That makes engine/service preference a real within-class decision rather than a tonnage decision.
YARDMAX YU3666 is also a full-beam horizontal/vertical 35-ton machine, but it publishes a 16.5-second cycle, 14 GPM pump, 26-inch log length and optional hydraulic-log-lift/log-table availability. Its slower mechanical cycle can be offset by a very different heavy-round handling workflow when the optional lift matters.
